As an additional offer, any candidates which have completed the pervious RSA Installer course will also benefit from a subsidised rate supported by the RSA, with the submission of their certificate.

This course will provide an entrance qualification for the Level 3 SFJ Awards in Commissioning, Servicing and Maintaining Sprinkler Systems.

The Course

This qualification is specifically aimed at individuals who are newly employed in the fire sprinkler industry. All candidates must hold a vailed CSCS card and be 18 years old or above. After successfully completion you will be eligible to apply for you JIB blue residential sprinkler installers card. Secure your place with just a £100 deposit per candidate.

Who Is It Aimed At?

RSA members seeking qualification for the installation of residential & domestic fire sprinklers.

Prerequisites

  • Must hold valid CSCS card.
  • Must be 18 years or above.
  • No prior knowledge needed.
  • Must have access to a workplace mentor that’s able to work closely with the RSA academy’s assessors verifying all aspects of the onsite work you submit online.

Typical Duration

  • One day virtual classroom
  • Remote virtual learning modules completed through vault platform.
  • Portfolio based evidence will be submitted by the learner.
  • 6 weeks to complete coursework (Max 1 year – in exceptional circumstances)

  • RSA Certified Installers – total course price £297 ( inc £100 deposit )
  • Non-certified Installers – total course price £485 ( inc £100 deposit )

How It Works

One day of virtual classroom conducted over Teams – course is run typically with between 8-14 candidates. Candidates will be assigned an online tutor to assess all learning. Onsite workplace evidence will be submitted via an online portal, consisting of videos, photographs and online written assessments. All video evidence must be verified by your workplace mentor. We would like the online part of this course to be completed in around 6 weeks, but in individual circumstances and by agreement, this can be up to 1 year.

Certification

Once course is successfully completed the candidate will have a SFJ Awards certificate level 2 in Fire Sprinkler installation. This course will provide an entrance qualification for the Level 3 SFJ Awards in Commissioning, Servicing and Maintaining Sprinkler Systems.
